Low Voltage Capacitor Bank (LV Capacitor Bank)
The *Low Voltage (LV) Capacitor Bank is a specialized solution for Power Factor Correction (PFC), reducing energy losses, and eliminating reactive power penalties in industrial and commercial electrical distribution systems. Equipped with an intelligent power factor controller, the system automatically switches capacitor stages according to the load demand, improving the overall efficiency and performance of the electrical distribution network.
The required capacitor bank rating (kVAr) is determined either by analyzing the customer’s electricity bills and reactive power charges or by calculating the facility’s power factor through professional power system analysis software.
Designed and manufactured in accordance with IEC 61439, the panel incorporates protective circuit breakers, heavy-duty capacitor contactors, and, when required, detuned harmonic reactors for harmonic mitigation, along with an efficient ventilation system to ensure reliable operation.
